Deployed at 12:00 hrs on Saturday 25th July 2020

Version 3 of the patient portal software has been deployed and is a significant upgrade to V2. The main updates are ‘under the hood’ and should result in a noticeable speed increase in loading of pages and less downtime caused by spikes in capacity which version 2 was not built to handle.

Below are a list of some improvements with more updates and new features planned for the following weeks and months ahead:

  • Bespoke authentication system with 2 factor authentication (see this article for more information)
  • Automatic logout at the end of a session (closing a tab or browser window)
  • Improved page speed loading throughout
  • Billable items can now be archived. This will allow admins to customise the list of billable items when creating invoice items for patient
  • Billable item creation is hidden from all staff except PUK and Clinic Admins
  • Treatment and Billable item prices can be changed without affecting past payments due to staff
  • Clinic invoice PDF timeout increased to allow invoices with many items to compile properly
  • Clinic Invoice references now contain the clinic code at the start (ie: MBR-107681) rather than a randomly generated invoice reference
  • Ability to show only ‘Unpaid’ invoices in both the Private Patients Invoices and Clinic Invoices table
  • Ability to filter Clinic Invoices by clinic (using a select menu a the top of the page)
  • Quick Search has been improved in Patient and Clinic Invoice tables
  • Quick Search has been improved in Payment tables
  • Pending payments now turn green correctly when an invoice is paid and a PCF has been completed
  • Payment tables so not show payments that are £0.00
  • Tasks can now be sorted by priority
  • Various fixes related to notifications
  • Ineligible user types removed from admin set up window (Nurse and Therapist are now set up in Staff section)
  • User updates of data now shows instantly (caching issue has been resolved)
  • cancelled appointments now remove themselves from the appointments table and the calendar correctly
  • Original appointment ‘Booked by’ value remains as the original value and doesn’t change if an appointment is amended
  • New Out Of Office notification sent to the recipient staff member who has been nominated letting them know they are now responsible for that patient’s care during the OOO

 

Although V3 has been thoroughly beta tested we anticipate there may still be some issues that cannot be picked up until deployed to a live environment. If you spot anything please do not hesitate to submit a support ticket here
