Managing a patient’s notes

If you are a psychiatrist or an administrator

To update a patient’s notes, click on their name in the patients list, which will take you to their case file. Click on the Notes tab and you will see a record of all of the patient’s notes so far. Here, you are able to add a comment to an existing note, reply to a patient’s message, or create a new note, which you can set to be hidden from the patient if necessary.

When you create a new note or reply to a message, the patient will receive a notification telling them that you have added a message or a note to their case file. You will be able to see whether or not they have seen this message on the right hand side of each note.

If a patient replies to one of your messages or creates a new note themselves, you will receive an email, and on your dashboard this will also be shown under your todo list. By clicking on View Message in the todo list, you will be taken to the appropriate patient, where you can mark the comment or note as Seen, at which point the patient will again be notified telling them that you have seen their note.
